Ascending to New Heights
In an effort to provide more timely information on the various events occuring at Panola we will share a newsletter each six weeks to communicate upcoming event on campus. Additionally, we will send this information home with your child via flyers.
Campus administration and our PTO president, Mrs. Brenda Castillo would like to invite you to a General PTO meeting on December 14th from 5:00 - 5:30 in the Cafeteria. Please come to hear what PTO has planned for our campus for the rest of the year and how you can help.

Holiday Cheer
It's hard to believe that we are less than two weeks away from the Winter Break. As you can imagine, the staff is celebrating the holidays and we are inviting our students to join in. Please see key December dates below.
- Friday, December 8th - Favorite Holiday Shirt: Students can wear their favorite school appropriate holiday shirt with regular Friday spirit wear.
- Wednesday, December 13th - College Wear Day: Students can wear a college shirt/sweatshirt with their regular spirit wear outfit.
- Thursday, December 14th - $2 Out of Uniform Day: Students pay $2 to be out of uniform. However, students must still meet dress code requirements (for example jeans cannot have rips/tears/exposed skin, no leggings, no inappropriate sayings/graphics on shirts, etc.).
- Friday, December 15th - Holiday Hats/Ears: Students can wear their regular Friday spirit wear with holiday hats/ears (Santa hat, Elf hat, etc.)
- Thursday, December 21st - Pajamas & Class Parties: Students can wear holiday themed pajamas. Please note pajamas cannot be skintight/body fitting (i.e. no thermals, leggings, or not school appropriate themes). This is also an Early Release Day - please arrange for students to be picked up early.

REMINDERS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Middle of the Year Testing
Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th will be completing Middle of the Year (MOY) district assessments the week of December 11th. Please do what you can to ensure students arrive at school on -time on testing days. Equally important, students need to sleep well the night before their tests, and have a good breakfast the day of. Remember that students are provided free breakfast at school from 7:00 to 7:25 am each school day.
Testing Days are:
- Tuesday, December 12th - Reading
- Thursday, December 14th - Math
- Friday, December 15th - Science
Arrival / Dismissal
Parents please be mindful of your speed while dropping off and picking up students. We want to ensure all students are safe so please slow down!
