I just wanted to take a moment to thank our families, educators, support staff, and volunteers for an exceptional school year. Your partnership has been instrumental in creating positive school environments focused on learning and growth. I am incredibly proud of how our school community works together to support our students.

In May, we asked parents/guardians to take our Spring Perception Survey and let us know how they felt about school climate, instruction, school leadership, and communication, and the results were very positive. Thanks to everyone who participated! Your responses will be used to help us understand our strengths and identify areas for improvement. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your superintendent, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a remarkable community. Together, we will continue to inspire and empower our students to reach their full potential.

Prairie View girls' soccer team members were recognized at the June Board of Education meeting for their exceptional season. The Eagles capped off a perfect 11-0 regular season by winning the Southwest Interscholastic Conference (SWIC) tournament championship.

Coached by Ms. Kelly Ouradnik, the Prairie View roster included Mia A., Eliana B., Kylie B., Karly B., Cassady H., Teagan L., Abigail L., Emma L., Camilah L., Julianna L., Lila M., Angelina M., Sophia R., Grace S., Samantha S., Lyla T., Stephanie T., and Leah W.

D140 PTO Presidents were recognized at the June Board of Education meeting for their invaluable contributions to our district and school communities. We appreciate the countless hours they have dedicated to our students, families, and staff. From coordinating fundraisers to planning social activities, our PTO presidents, board members, and volunteers have helped us create welcoming school environments and enhance our school's resources and facilities.

Thanks to PTO Presidents Lori Hester (Grissom), Janelle LaMont (Bannes), Nicole Malloy (McAuliffe), Lyndsey O'Keefe (Keller), Sheri Teigeler (Millennium), Deanna Tuman (Prairie View), and Kelli Walsh (Fernway).

Local and federal law enforcement officers and firefighters celebrated First Responders’ Day with Bannes students and staff on Friday, June 2. In keeping with the school’s annual tradition, a complimentary breakfast, lunch, and dinner was provided to first responders to show appreciation for all they do to keep our community safe. Students, staff, and their honored guests enjoyed a meal and numerous activities together throughout the day.
