Back to School Reminders:
- TOMORROW, our first day of school is a Smart Start Monday, so school will start at 8:56. Buses will unload at our campus beginning at 8:30 and car drop off begins at 8:30. If you need to drop off your child earlier than 8:30, we will have staff available from 7:30-8:30 to provide educational activities to children.
- Tuesday through Friday, school will start at 7:56. Buses will unload at our campus beginning at 7:30 and car drop off will begin at 7:30. This year, class times and dismissal times have changed slightly. See the updated Bell Schedule above.
- We would like EVERYONE, even if you think you won't qualify, to fill out the free/reduced lunch application! You can do it online by going to https://linqconnect.com/ and then choosing start meal application. It is discrete and private! The state is providing funds to pay for lunch of those students who meet the criteria for reduced lunch prices this year! Here is a tip: If your income varies throughout the year, use the lowest amount when completing the application. Click this link for more information and a QR code to access the application.
- The price of lunch has increased for this year and will cost $3.25 every day. There is no cost for breakfast. Breakfast is served every morning for students in the cafeteria.
- 1:1 devices will NOT be handed out until school resumes this year. The computer user agreement must be signed by both parent and student and returned to RJHS before their device will be issued to them. Please make sure and send this form back with students on the first day of school or bring it with you to Open House.
- Our attendance policy has changed for this year. Each semester, student will be allowed 6 excused absences for illness. In order to be excused, a written note from a parent or medical facility must be submitted when the student returns to school. When a student has more than 6 unexcused absences, the district will notify the prosecuting attorney. To read more of the policy, click here.
HAC Information and Student Grades
It is the goal of RJHS teachers and staff to keep student grades updated weekly for parents and guardians to stay aware of their child's/ children's progress throughout the semester. If you are having trouble accessing HAC (Home Access Center) you can email Jennifer Roberts for help with login credentials.
