Greetings BHS Families,
Firstly, THANK YOU to everyone who participated in or supported Spirit Week, the Homecoming Game and Homecoming Dances last week! A great time was had by all - all due to your hard work and dedication to our students. GO TIGERS!
This is Week #7 of Semester 1. This week we will be holding Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences. This is an opportunity for families to connect with teachers to ensure your student’s success. Please determine to connect with at least 3 of your student’s teachers to support and to be supported.
Parents with students in Belleville New Tech. If you need assistance with your Echo account, please contact Director Scott Wilsey at swilsey@vanburenschools.net. Student grades and assignments can be monitored for BNT classes on a daily basis through Echo.
Important Dates and Events for This Week:
October 13th & 14th (Wed & Thurs) - Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences from 4-7pm (Wed, 10/13) and from 12pm-3pm and 4pm-7pm (Thurs 10/14). Please see emails and updates from our Director of Instruction, Jeff Moore.
October 14th, October 15th - HALF DAYS - 10:31am Dismissal
October 20th - BHS Virtual Tiger Parent Meeting, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM (Link to follow)

NOTE: CONCERNING Middle School Students at High School Games.
**For the remainder of the 2021 Varsity football season, High School students will be required to show their Student Identification in order to purchase a ticket for admission into the game. In addition, any student not of High School age will be required to have an accompanying paying adult with them in order to purchase a ticket and attend the game.

Upcoming Opportunity: Career Exploration Series
Our first Career Exploration Series will be held on Tuesday, October 12th during the 6th hour. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) related careers. Additionally, students will learn about SMASH, NACME and SWE- Detroit (Please click on links below for more information.)
