It was a great first week back together after our winter break. Students and staff are getting back to our school routines and setting new goals for 2022. Everyone is able to start fresh as this is the beginning of a new quarter of school.

Second quarter report cards are viewable in Teacher Ease today. See below for directions about how to access your child's report card. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress, please reach out to your child's teacher via email. We pride ourselves on having a strong partnership with parents/guardians to ensure student success. As always, let me know if there is anything I can do to make this relationship stronger. Blessing in a Backpack is a charitable program created to provide food for students/families that may need it over the weekends and during school breaks. Each Friday, students that have signed up are sent home with food items for the weekend. These students are sent home with additional food items prior to extended breaks. Your donation of at least $1 or more will allow you to wear a hat on Friday, January 14th and will also help to raise funds for this amazing program. While your child can simply bring the donation with them to school that day and turn it in to his/her teacher, you can also donate at other times throughout the year. Please see below for more information about donating to our Blessings in a Backpack program at Bunker Hill.

The youth cheer clinic will be held at the high school gymnasium from 9:00-12:00 on Saturday, January 8th. Participants will get the opportunity to cheer during the home basketball game on January11th.

Students in grades 6th-8th can now sign up to join Junior High Scholastic Bowl. Coach Banwart will meet with interested students tomorrow during school to answer any questions and provide more information. Sign up now using the link below:

Please review your child's report card by going to www.teacherease.com or download the TeacherEase-Parent App on your phone. The login and password are the same that was used to register your child for school. There will be a tab labeled "report card". When using the app, please click "more" in the bottom right hand corner and then you should see the "report card" tab. If you have trouble accessing your child's report card, please email me at sronen@bhcusd.org or call 618-585-4831. Report cards should be ready on January 7th.

Please do not send your child to school sick. Students should always be fever and vomit free for at least 24 hours. Please also keep your child at home if they are experiencing any Covid symptoms. This is the number one way that we can help prevent the spread of any type of sickness in our school.
