8th Grade Trip Fundraising
Dear Christ the King Families,
I personally wanted to send a note of thanks on behalf of the Eighth Grade Class of 2020. As you know we are getting ready to embark on our class trip to Washington DC at the end of April. This trip is one of the culminating experiences of being a Chris the King student, and one that they students have been looking forward to since the first day of school.
This trip gives the students the ability to bring what they have learned in their middle school career especial here in Social Studies and make it real, and to gain a familiarity with our nation’s capital. They are able to see these sights and experience the history in a way that only personal understanding can afford them.
This trip is made possible by all the Jeans Days, Dances, PJ Day, and all of the other fundraising that the class does. All of this fundraising is made possible by everyone working together to bring this trip to every eighth grader here at CKS. Of course, I want to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Bethany Rogers, Mrs. Holly Martin, and Mrs. Susannah Lane for their tireless efforts in leading the fundraising committee. With everyone working together for the good of the Class of 2020, we were able to raise a total of $12,700.00 for the student’s trip to Washington DC.
Thank you for having a hand in helping to make this yet another successful trip to Washington DC.
