Principal's Message
Dear Springer Families,
We had a special time yesterday as we honored so many of you that give of your time and love for our children. Whether that be helping in the classroom, going on field trips, teaching Project Cornerstone lessons, copying, being here to help with lunch, attending the Walk A Thon and Auction, making our community projects possible, or serving on our PTA Board, Character Education Team, School Site Council, or Technology Team, we appreciate how you make our school special for our children. There are so many ways you are involved, I could not begin to list them all. As a staff we are very grateful for everything you do!
I also want to thank those of you who may not be able to always give of your time during the day, but find ways to support us through doing tasks in the evening, as well as on the weekends. Each one of you contributes to our children’s success every time you sit down with your child to talk about their day and to help them with their homework. You are indeed All Stars, and we thank you.
Warmly,
Robin

Hot Lunch Volunteer Opportunities for 2019/2020
We are seeking volunteers to join the Hot Lunch crew for 2019-2020. The Hot Lunch program would not be possible without the 20+ volunteers that come in every week to serve lunch! The lunch volunteer shift is from 11:25-12:15, one day per week, or alternating weeks. Volunteers receive a credit for a free Choicelunch meal for every volunteer slot they fill. Contact Emily Fuller (at HotLunch@springerpta.net) to join the lunch crew or if you’d like more information.

Fourth Grade Instrument Quest
Fourth Grade Instrument Quest
June 4th, 2019
4:00 – 7:00
Covington Multi
In preparation for choosing a musical instrument to play in 5th grade, the LASD Music Department will host an instrument selection event called “Instrument Quest” for all 4th grade students in the district. Your child will be able to try out every instrument we offer in our Band and Orchestra (flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, violin, viola, cello).
This is a great opportunity to see which instrument best suits your child. Parents are welcome to ask questions and to meet the LASD Music teachers.
LAEF
We are very close to reaching our $3.5M goal. We are grateful for each family who donated to LAEF this school year. You have invested in excellent neighborhood schools and a strong community! If you’ve made a pledge that is yet to be fulfilled, we are still counting on your donation to cross the finish line.
Here’s a big THANK YOU to our wonderful teachers, staff, parents, and volunteers for contributing to our student’s success this year!
