The mission of the Miller County R-III School District, in partnership with our students, parents, staff, and community, is to promote PRIDE and provide a quality education that inspires our students to be lifelong learners.

We have continued receiving gifts from our community members and groups for the 12 Days of Giving, and it is so much fun! The gifts have been so generous and thoughtful, and the staff is so appreciative. I'm dying to tell them who is doing this for them, but I've been sworn to secrecy--so to those of you who provided the donations and are doing all of the work to get them wrapped and delivered, THANK YOU from all of us!

Dear Parents and Community Members,

Happy Friday! I hope everyone is having a wonderful December. I know this time of year can be extremely busy, but I hope you are finding time to relax and enjoy the fun that December brings.

First semester is quickly coming to an end – We have 7 school days left in the semester. I highly encourage all parents/guardians to check student grades in Infinite Campus (or Launch if a student has a Launch math class) to see what your student’s current grade is. If you have any questions or concerns about grades please reach out to your student’s teacher.

Students in grades 5-12 will be taking semester finals on Friday, December 15 and Monday, December 18. Teachers will be giving students information regarding finals for their specific class. Please have students reach out to their teacher if they have any specific questions.

Just a reminder that students will be out for winter break beginning Wednesday, December 20 and will return on Wednesday, January 3.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out. My door is always open and I am always willing to help however I can. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you to Scotty Rains of Glass Unlimited for his generous donation to our athletics program to pay the entire cost for the remainder of the basketball season for the off-duty sheriff's deputies who attend our ballgames. Thank you so much for your support!

The Miller County R-III School District has the following openings available:

• Vocational Agriculture Teacher, 9-12, 2024-25 school year: Forward resume' and letter of interest to tspencer@tuscumbialions.k12.mo.us.
• 9-12 Math Teacher, 2023-24 and/or 2024-25 school year. Would hire a retired teacher on critical shortage. Forward resume' and letter of interest to tspencer@tuscumbialions.k12.mo.us.
• K-12 Music Teacher, 2024-25 school year. Forward resume' and letter of interest to tspencer@tuscumbialions.k12.mo.us.
• Substitute Teachers, as needed, $90/day, must have substitute certificate and pass a background check.
• Substitute Bus Drivers, as needed, $31.60 per route (a.m. or p.m.) and $12/hour for trip drivers, including wait time. If you do not have a CDL, we have an on-site trainer who will train you if you commit to substituting for our district.
