From School Administration
Dear Clemens Crossing Families,
I cannot believe this is the final Cougar Comments newsletter for the school year! It has been an amazing school year!
At Thursday’s Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Martirano announced transfers for administrators. I wanted to share with you that I will not be returning to Clemens Crossing Elementary School for the 2023-24 school year. On July 1st, I will be the new principal at Phelps Luck Elementary School.
My eight years as principal at Clemens Crossing Elementary School have been the highlight of my career. When I arrived, you welcomed me with open arms. I have built many lasting relationships with students and families, and I hope we continue to stay in touch. I am grateful for the support from the CCES staff, parents, and PTA over the years. I am truly blessed to have worked with some of the best educators in Howard County, and I have learned and grown as a professional as a result. I will miss the students at Clemens Crossing Elementary School very much, but I know they will be in good hands with Clemens Crossing’s new principal, Mrs. Michelle Leader.
Mrs. Leader grew up in Howard County and continues to live in Howard County with her family. She graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a degree in Elementary Education and taught for 10 years. She earned her Master's Degree from Loyola University and has been an administrator for the past 18 years. Mrs. Leader has a passion for serving students, staff and the community. She is excited to join the Clemens Crossing family!
Thank you for eight wonderful years with your children! It has been an honor and privilege for me to be part of this amazing community.
Best wishes!
Mr. Cosentino
