Remote Learning: Beginning 10/26

We will go back to remote learning on Monday, October 26th. This will not impact the schedule for students already enrolled in eLearning.

Students who attend school in our hybrid model will continue to follow their current schedule. Keeping this schedule allows for the least amount of transition for our students, families, and staff. Every student will also remain with his/her current teacher.

Students who typically attend school in the AM session will participate in eLearning with their classroom teacher through Google Meets during the following times: Salt Creek Primary: 7:50-10:20 am & Stella May Swartz: 7:40-10:10 am. Specials and asynchronous learning will occur in the afternoon as currently scheduled.

Students who attend school in the PM session will participate in specials and asynchronous in the morning, as currently scheduled. Students will participate in eLearning with their classroom teacher through Google Meets during the following times: Salt Creek: 12:05-2:35pm & Stella May Swartz: 11:55-2:25.

Kindergarten - 4th grade students were sent home with supplies for the upcoming weeks of remote learning.

Landing pages will be put up on the website on Monday morning.

Preschool Remote Learning: Beginning 10/27

Preschool will also be remote learning starting on Tuesday, October 27th. Mrs. Postovalov and Mrs. Cahill will communicate with their families the plan for remote learning. Preschool families will be able to pick up supplies from Salt Creek Primary from 9:00-3:30 on Monday, October 26th. The supplies will include a Chromebook for your child to use to participate in the preschool remote learning instruction.

NWEA MAP TESTING

Thank you parents for a great week of NWEA MAP testing! We know there were a few hiccups along the way, but we are so appreciative of your support and patience as we navigated through some tech issues. We will finish testing our K-4 grade eLearning students next week! We will also be scheduling remote makeup sessions for students who may not have completed the tests when we were in person. Be on the lookout for information from your child's teacher!

Mrs. Strom

Mrs. Strom has done an incredible job last spring, the summer, and throughout the beginning of the school year preparing our health offices for COVID-19. This year will go down in the history books as one of the busiest, most eventful, and one of the most stressful years for school nurses. Katie has been a calm and stable presence through it all! She is well organized and maintains great communication with staff and families! We are very lucky to have Katie in our school district!

Meal Pick-Up

Any District 48 family can pick up 5 days worth of meals (breakfast and lunch) at Albright Middle School at Door 2 on Tuesdays from 1:00-1:30 and 2:30-3:00. You can also pick up meals on Wednesdays from 11:00-4:00 at any District 45 school. If these times do not work for you, please contact the office, and we can arrange a different time for you to pick up the meals. Menus for October are linked below.
