Families and Students,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. Starr teachers and staff are excited for this new year. We have had a lot of wonderful changes over the summer, so we are all looking forward to welcoming our new members to the Coyote Crew and building those new relationships.
One of the biggest changes here is the principal! On June 15th, at the Richmond Community Schools Board Meeting, I was approved as the new principal of Starr Elementary School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such resilient students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to serve the students, staff, and families. After all of my years teaching at Starr, I am excited and honored to be stepping into this new role.
Starr Elementary will open at 7:15am Monday- Friday. Students will not be permitted in the building until 7:15am. The last morning bell rings at 7:50am. Students arriving after 7:50am will be marked tardy.
Students will all again be eating breakfast in their classrooms, so please plan for that so that we can get started with daily classroom learning activities on time.
