Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well. As we transition into the vibrant autumn season, I wanted to take a moment to update you on the numerous exciting events and activities that will be taking place at Pine Forest in the coming months.

Our school is dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom, and these events are a testament to that commitment. We encourage you to refer to the school calendar, available on our website or sent home with your child, for specific dates and times of each event. It's a fantastic opportunity for you to engage with the school community, share quality time with your child, and support their educational journey.

There are MANY upgoing events to look forward to- see calendar below:

Please remember to check the school calendar in the newsletter for any updates or additional events that may be scheduled throughout the year. Your active participation in these events not only strengthens the school community but also creates lasting memories for you and your child.

In the midst of these busy schedules, I encourage you to find moments to relax and enjoy quality time with your family. Whether it's a weekend getaway, a cozy evening at home, or a simple outing to a local park, these moments are just as important as any school event. They contribute to a healthy, well-balanced family life and enhance the overall well-being of your child.

Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in the education of your child. We look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events and hope you make the most of your time with your family.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our dedicated staff or me. We value your input and partnership in providing the best education for your child.

Wishing you a wonderful autumn season filled with warmth, joy, and cherished family moments.

Sincerely,

Wendy Anaya

The Worst Christmas Pageant Ever

Great book for 3-5th graders

The Herdmans are the worst kids in the history of the world. They lie, steal, smoke cigars, swear, and hit little kids. So no one is prepared when this outlaw family invades church one Sunday and decides to take over the annual Christmas pageant. None of the Herdmans has ever heard the Christmas story before.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

It's a classic and a great read aloud to Prek-2

It follows the Grinch, a cranky, solitary creature who attempts to thwart the public's Christmas plans by stealing Christmas gifts and decorations from the homes of the nearby town of Whoville on Christmas Eve. Miraculously, the Grinch realizes that Christmas is not all about money and presents.

Straight from the Clinic

Flu is on the RISE!

Both influenza (a.k.a. the flu) and stomach flu are going around.

As always, please keep your student home if they have a temperature of 100.0 or >, new cough, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Other symptoms to look out for are chills, muscle aches, sore throat, or stomach ache.

Students may return when they have no fever, vomiting, or diarrhea x 24 hours WITHOUT medicine.

A good rule to follow is: “When in doubt, keep them out.”

Please report any cases of the flu to us via the absence or nurse line.

Stay healthy,
