You and Two

High school graduation is a momentous occasion. It signals the end of the first chapter in students' lives and the beginning of their stories as young adults. Last week, families have rejoiced and cried tears of pride as 1,862 seniors crossed the stage at the Colonial Life Arena. These students are prepared and ready for the workforce, college and careers in the military and beyond.

In total, the Class of 2019 earned $147,448,000 in scholarships. The ceremonies were again streamed live and can be watched again here. Click here to view photographs from the graduations.

Please make sure any leave for 2018-2019 has been entered and approved in Alio so that the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2019, can be closed out in a timely manner.

Vacation Days Reminder for 12-Month Employees: 12-Month employees may only carry over 10 vacation days at the end of the fiscal year (June 30, 2019). Any days over 10 must be used by June 30, 2019. Click here to read more!

Richland School District Two Food Services, operated by Sodexo will again serve free, nutritious meals on weekdays this summer. Students up to age 18 can enjoy a variety of healthy breakfasts and lunches that meet and exceed nutritional standards set by the United States Department of Agriculture and the National School Lunch Program.

The weather is warming up, and summer is just around the corner. Our district will once again operate on a four‐day work week beginning Monday, June 10, 2019. The last Friday off is Friday, August 2, 2019.

Leave Guidelines:

• Full day of leave during summer schedule = 1.25 days

• Guidelines for partial days:
  • Less than 2 hours = .25 leave taken
  • 2 to 3.75 hours = .5 leave taken
  • 3.75 to 5.5 hours = .75 leave taken
  • 5.5 to 7.5 hours = 1.0 leave taken
  • 7.5 to 9.25 hours - 1.25 leave taken

NEXT MEETING: The Richland School District Two Board of Trustees will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. At 5:30 p.m., the board will convene in executive session to discuss student appeals. Public session will resume at 6:30 p.m. Click here to access an agenda for the June 11 meeting. All meetings will take place at the Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2). The public is invited to attend the meetings.
