We are SO grateful...

Thank you to our amazing Sherwood PTO for supporting the Sherwood staff during our institute days by providing a delicious lunch from Cluckers, LOTS of snacks and beverages to keep us refreshed. Thank you for your contribution to our AWESOME "Welcome Back" balloons and sign for our students that we missed so much! And last but certainly not least, thank you to Leah Brajer, PTO parent, for designing and making a personalized mask chain for all of our staff members at Sherwood. We are so grateful!

Thank you to EVERY member of our Sherwood staff for putting in endless hours prepping for our students to come back to school whether it be in person or virtually. Your collaboration and dedication to our students and each other has been incredible! We are so grateful!

A BIG shout out to our Sherwood students! We continue to be impressed with your flexibility and your ability to start school in a new way without missing a beat. We are so lucky to have all of you at Sherwood! We are so grateful!

Sherwood Family Questions & Comments

We're eager to virtually open our school doors to families for Open House. We will be moving back our Open House date to September, 17th to ensure that all schools across the district have it on the same day. This will allow both our hybrid and virtual classrooms to access content on the same day, as we know many families may have students being taught by teachers from multiple school sites.

Our teachers this year will be recording videos and we will be placing them online for you to view at your own leisure. We want to make sure that you're still able to have questions answered and share comments, so we're attaching a google form for you to fill out before our Open House. Your teacher will then address/incorporate your responses into the presentation.

Responses are DUE on Friday, September 11th at 10am.

We will be hosting our yearly Highland Park Police Department visit during both AM and PM hybrid arrival on Tuesday, September 8th. We are so fortunate to partner with HPPD!

Please remind your child to post their FIRST & LAST name on their Zoom account so that their full name shows when they are participating in live Zoom sessions. Having this information is very helpful for our teachers to learn student names. Thanks!

The Park District of Highland Park Board of Park Commissioners has approved a planning project for the renovation of Sunset Woods Park’s iconic Rocket Ship playground and Titanic Tides tot lot located on the western edge of the park and development of a master plan for the entire park. Now, and over the next few months, community members will have a variety of opportunities to provide their input on the playground design and the vision for Sunset Woods as the project progresses. In keeping with COVID-19 DCEO guidelines, online, virtual, and in-person engagement opportunities will be available to all residents. 2. Click “MY Account” on the menu bar.
3. Click “MY STUDENTS” to update your child’s grade, teacher and session time (AM/PM) for the 2020-2021 school year.
4. Click “SAVE STUDENT” at the bottom of the page or your updated info will not be saved.
5. Click “ADD NEW STUDENT” if you have a new child coming to the school.
