Important information from the Technology Department
Student devices (Chromebooks) will be collected on Friday, June 11. Please ensure your child returns the Chromebook, case, and correct Dell charger. All virtual students will return devices Monday, June 14. Specific information regarding procedures for collecting devices from our virtual students will be sent to parents via email by June 4.

When I got my "Tech Talk Tuesday" email this week, I knew I had something unique (and hopefully helpful :) that I wanted to share with you as parents. Check out this "one tiny change" that will help you assess your own screen time habits. My personal favorite (and a change I am going to commit to making personally :) is:
For seven days, you will not check your phone right away in the morning because when you do, you get sucked into it, and instead, you will do 5 minutes of back stretches because once you started the day like that and noted your back felt better all day.
Setting screen time boundaries for ourselves reduces our own stress, and modeling that behavior for our children sets a powerful example. Consider talking with your child about which change you will make for yourself, and ask them to help hold you accountable to it! Future discussions can focus on how you can help each other spend less time on your phones, and more time with each other doing things that reduce stress and lift your spirits.
