You all outdid yourselves. Staff Appreciation Week was phenomenal. Your thoughtful gifts of food, flowers, and food (yes I wrote food twice) were received with joy and amazement by all of our staff. Thanks to the PTO for organizing such a wonderful week. We are blessed to have the support of our families and PTO! Check out the photos below.

The Medical Terminology & Business Practices students at Arrowhead are hosting their 7th annual “Pill Drop” next Friday May 12, 2017 from 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Mullett Ice Center. Help us beat last year's record when we collected 831 pounds of prescription and non-prescription drugs.
Start saving any of your unwanted or unused prescription and non-prescription medications to drop off at our event. We would also appreciate you helping spread the word to family and friends. The more people that know about this worthy event, the more we are able to get these medications off our streets, keep them out of the wrong hands and help keep our environment safe.

On Thursday, May 18th at 6pm I will be hosting an informational meeting for new and returning riders within the Lake Country area for the 2017 interscholastic mountain bike season. If you have any family friends or neighbors that like riding bikes, bring them along!
The meeting will be held at Bicycle Doctor in Dousman. Our new team director, Rick, will also be at the meeting.
Topics that we will go over include:
1. Basic information (what it is and what to expect)
2. Costs (including possible sponsorship opportunities to offset costs)
3. Season schedule (practices days/times, locations, and races)
4. Ways to help out
At the end of the meeting, myself or Rick can assist with registration for the 2017 season. I look forward to seeing new and familiar faces there!

The Intermediate School Spring Book Fair is from Monday, May 15th through Friday, May 19th. Here is a link to the signup genius for volunteers. Thanks in advance for your consideration. Our 7th annual Celebration Day is scheduled for Friday, June 2nd. In the coming weeks you will hear more about this from our PTO and PE teachers. Keep an eye out for some exciting opportunities that have been planned for that day.

Camp Invention is coming to Merton this year as part of our summer school program for the amazingly low price of $35. This camp experience is for students entering grades K-6 and will take place the week of July 31-August 4 (which is the week between July and August summer school courses). Spots are filling up incredibly quickly, and we anticipate this opportunity being closed very soon. Want to register? Please call Camp Invention customer service at 1-800-968-4332. Sphero Club will have its final meeting from 4:00-5:00 on Wednesday, May 17th in the Intermediate School library. All are welcome to attend. We will start up again some time in the fall of the 2017-2018 school year.
