We are enjoying a great start to the school year! Our teachers and support staff are purposefully building relationships with students this week, and you will see that in many of the photos below. We are also very grateful for the "behind the scenes" efforts of our food service, technology, maintenance, transportation, and custodial staff members.
Here are a few informational items:
- Your continued patience with all things transportation during the first week of school is very much appreciated. Maps for the two main campuses are below for those who have not seen them yet.
- Immunization updates (or a waiver) for students entering pre-K/kindergarten, 7th grade, or as a transfer student in any grade must, by state law, be provided by the first day of school (see below for a graphic on required immunizations). Our health clinic, located in the middle school, is available for free immunizations for students in grades 6-12 (see flyer at bottom). Parents and guardians choosing to decline vaccines must obtain a certified non-medical waiver from a local health department. We will be reaching out to families for outstanding documentation as needed.
- We welcome Deputy Michael Heugel (pictured below) as our new School Resource Officer. Our partnership with law enforcement is just one of the many ways in which we keep students safe and secure.
- The Harrison Street Fair will be starting on Friday, August 25. M-61 will be closed down at approximately 9:00 am, and reopened at 7:00 pm. Please keep this in mind if you are coming to any of our campuses on Friday.
Please remember that there is no school on Friday, September 1 or Monday, September 4, in honor of Labor Day Weekend.
