We Are Easton
Superintendent Information
Dear Jaguar Families,
It seems winter has finally arrived with the snowfall last week. As a reminder, Easton School will determine if we are on time, 2 hour delay, or cancelled for the day between 6:00-7:00 am each morning. Families will be notified via our School Messenger system.
Speaking of School Messenger, last Friday I created a School Messenger notification in anticipation of a possible delay. As it turns out, we didn't delay but unfortunately the delay message was sent out on Friday afternoon! My apologies for any confusion.
Have a great week and Go Jags,
Aaron Kombol
Superintendent

"Thank you"/Kindness Wall
Thanks to a grant from Easton Washington University, Easton now has access to an electronic "Thank You / Kindness Wall".
Thank you walls provide a method for people to share thanks you's, recognize others, wish Happy Birthday, or just send positive thoughts to others. Traditionally, message walls are on paper, as in the image. However, the grant allows us to broadcast our messages.
Easton's "Mojo Message Wall" is accessed at:
https://youuplift.com/easton-school-district-kindness-wall/ (please bookmark)
There is also a link on our website. Once a message is submitted, it is reviewed for content and then posted on our TV in the Commons area, on the Message Wall webpage, as well as on our website.
The message wall is open to all, students, staff, community, parents. etc. anyone who wants to send a positive note or encouraging message to others.
Seeking School Board Candidates
Easton School Board has a vacant position, and the Board is seeking applicants. If you are interested, please complete the application available at www.easton.wednet.edu and submit it to Easton School (1893 Railroad Street, Easton, WA) by January 12, 2024.
Interviews of prospective board members will be conducted at a Special Meeting of the Easton School Board on January 23, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
To serve on a local school board, you must be a registered voter in the district, and a U.S. citizen. When elected, school board directors serve 4-year terms. If appointed, a director serves until the next regularly scheduled school director election and can choose to run for the position at that time (the next school board elections are in November 2024.) Easton School Board regular meetings are currently held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any of our current board members
