Dual Language, Migrant and ESL Updates
EOC Retesting and APAs
State Assessment LPAC meetings are happening between now and November 3rd. These meetings make decisions about the designated supports that EB students will receive during testing. To ensure all required information is available for these meetings, please remind the teachers you support to complete BOY Instructional Accommodations in Edugence, and submit recommended designated supports to the LPAC coordinator. It is highly recommended that Newcomers with beginning or intermediate TELPAS scores receive designated supports (Content and Language Supports and/or Oral Administration). Any EB can receive designated supports if they are routinely and effectively used in classroom instruction. Please refer to the chart that lists the classroom supports that link to content and language supports. Examples can be found on pages 21-22 of the STAAR Accessibility Educator Guide. To support your efforts, rosters of Emergent Bilingual retesters are available in your campus data folder.
