New staff and returning staff, please check-out the new, online VES Handbook. The handbook can be located in the Google drive, under VES Staff. Please read through the handbook at your earliest convenience. Information on Vaughn rules, behavior management, SPED process, collaboration wednesdays and safety can all be found in the VES Handbook. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am looking forward to the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year!

Building hours and Keys
If keeping Metal Keys
- Keys will be inventoried, number written down on check-out sheet and added to room number tag. Inventory on the excel sheet
- If keeping metal keys
- Agree to come into school in the summer during hours of 8:00 am-3:30 pm
- Off hours such as past 5pm or on weekends prohibited
- If moving out of the building and need a truck to come on the weekend. Notify Mrs. Page of when entering during off hours as well as day, time of arrival, and departure.
- Metal keys to be turned in by check-out or no later than July 5th at 3:30pm.
- If moving to in-district building-keep electronic key card
- If leaving district turn in metal and electronic key card

2. An updated and correct daily schedule
3. An updated map and set of plans that help to outline a regular day in your classroom
4. Emergency and health care plans
*If you are classified staff, you should have a schedule for your substitute to follow according to your day with times and breaks
Communication to Families
All PSD staff and educators are encouraged to use interpreting services when communicating with families that have a first language other than English. In order to provide our students, families and staff the best support in education, Peninsula School District provides interpreting services at no cost to our students, parents/guardians and staff. To request an in-person interpreter, please submit an interpreter request form (2 weeks’ notice please) to Kirsten Gallacher in Student Services (gallacherk@psd401.net). For telephonic interpretation services, simply follow the instructions on the "On-Demand Telephonic Interpretation Services" flyer.
