Newsletters - If you click on menu at the top of the page, you will see "Principal's Newsletters." In this section you will find all previous newsletters from both this school year and last year.

Monday Morning Broadcasts - We are happy to share our Monday morning broadcasts with families! All previous episodes can also be found on the website under the menu link. If your child is ever absent on a Monday - they don't have to miss out on the fun! Links are scheduled to publish at 10:15am on Mondays.

1st Trimester report cards went home in backpacks on Friday, December 16.

Just a reminder, we are working on transitioning to elementary report cards being delivered electronically. Please note that we intend to only distribute report cards electronically for trimesters two and three.

In order for you to receive your child’s report card electronically, you will need to set up your PowerSchool account and verify that your email address is accurate. Report cards that are sent electronically will come in two forms. The first will be a PDF document as an email attachment. The report card will also be located in the Documents folder in your PowerSchool account.

Once again, Phelps outdid itself for this year's Mayflower Marathon. The format downtown was a little different, but we absolutely exceeded our donations from last year! This year we donated 2,180 items of food!!! Congratulations to Mrs. Netzer's class who had the highest amount of donations in the school with 346 items. Special thanks to our amazing Student Council for organizing all of the items and helping to load the cars. The look on the faces of the Mayflower staff was of complete gratitude and amazement when they opened our cars! Thank you to all who donated!

Our 1st Annual Sock Hop was a HUGE success!!! Students and staff alike had a blast dancing and socializing with each other. We collected 1,173 pairs of socks (and two pairs of mittens) that we donated to the Springfield Rescue Mission!!!! Thank you so much for all of your generosity.

Ingredients

• 1 cup Kerrygold Unsalted Pure Irish Butter, softened
• 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup finely chopped dried cranberries

Directions

1. In a large bowl, beat butter, confectioners' sugar and salt until blended. Beat in vanilla. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in cranberries.
2. Shape dough into a disk. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes or until firm enough to roll.
3. Preheat oven to 325°. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/4-in. thickness. Cut with a floured 2-in. star-shaped cookie cutter. Place 1 in. apart on greased baking sheets.
4. Bake 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.
