We're almost there!

First, we'd like to wish all of the moms, supporting our Williams Wildcats, a wonderful Mother's Day! We could not have made it this far without everyone's help.

Next, please be advised that we are down to our final 6 weeks of school. The rest of our time together is going to fly by! Please be on the lookout for mid-trimester progress reports and please confirm parent-conference appointments with your child's teacher, if needed.

Also, don't forget that our In-N-Out Cookout fundraiser will be this Tuesday, May 11th. The big In-N-Out semi-truck will be parked in front of Williams School and will begin serving at 5:30 pm. As of this past Friday, we had pre-sold over 500 tickets. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!

Finally, PLEASE join me in showing appreciation to our wonderful teachers this week. Teacher appreciation week will be May 10-14. You will find more details below.

Parent-Teacher Conferences - May 10-14

Please confirm with your child's teacher whether you will be meeting for a virtual or in-person parent-teacher conferences. Please be advised that not all families will be requiring a conference this week.

In-N-Out Cookout Fundraiser - Tuesday, 05/11 @ 5:30 p.m.

Pre-sale of cookout tickets ($5.00) will end on Monday morning (05/10/21). Your In-N-Out Cookout Fundraiser ticket will get you a combo containing a cheeseburger/hamburger, chips and soda. Proceeds from the cookout fundraiser will help fund the purchase of new picnic tables for our large playground. Thank you for all of your support!

GATE: Students will meet Ms. Rains for their next GATE session on Thursday, May 20th, from 1:30-2:30 pm.
ASES: Please email Mr. Sergio (wms-ases@hueneme.org) with questions about our after-school program. He is currently asking for names of students that would benefit from the support of an in-person ASES program for the next school year (2021-22).

WHAT'S NEW?

Construction Update: We wanted to update you on the construction at Williams School which continues to move across campus. Due to the progress of the work in our classrooms, we will be moving the arrival/dismissal blue doors over to the second set of doors located at the next hallway over. You will see our health screeners, Ms. Itzel and Ms. Aura, checking student temperatures on the same north-side of the school on Monday morning.

GATE Testing: We've been informed that GATE testing has been moved to next school year. All 4th graders will be tested next fall 2021. All 3rd graders will be tested next fall 2021 too.

School Hero Appreciation: We appreciate our School Lunch Heroes: Ms. Maria, Ms. Luisa and Ms. Ann. We may not have all been on campus this school year, but our cafeteria team worked throughout remote learning, winter break, spring break, in-person learning...I mean, they never stopped! We invite our Williams community to thank our super important Williams school lunch heroes for all of their help in feeding our Williams kiddos.
School Nurse Appreciation: National School Nurse Appreciation Day is this week on May 12th. We are so thankful for the wonderful ladies that run our health office. THANK YOU Ms. Itzel and our new nurse, Maricela Magallon, for keeping us healthy and safe!

Attendance Reminder: Please contact the office if your child is absent Monday-Friday for either in-person or remote learning. (805) 488-3541, ext. 0.

Office Hours: Our regular office hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30-4:00 pm.
Kindergarten Registration: 2021-22 TK/K registrations hours are being accepted Monday-Friday from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Appointments may be arranged outside of these hours by calling 805-488-3541, ext. 0.
Submitting Tech Requests: Please reach out to our tech department for assistance with student technology. Please submit tech tickets through our websites or call the HelpDesk at (805) 946-0180.
Walk-Up Vaccine Clinic THIS FRIDAY: The walk-up vaccine clinic held at Parkview Elementary School last Friday was a big success. Our NEXT walk-up vaccination clinic is scheduled for this Friday, 05/14 at EO Green JHS from 12:00-5:00 pm.
