Work HARD! Dream BIG! Believe in YOURSELF! Never GIVE UP!
Volume 2 - Issue 2 - July 29, 2019
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
I would like to take a moment to thank and recognize our front office staff for all their hard work this past week. The start of the school year is very busy, and with currently 842 students enrolled, and many more scheduled to enroll this week, our front office staff has been busy, but they have done an amazing job!
Our counseling team has also been working very diligently to make sure that students are scheduled in the correct courses and teacher's classes are balanced. This week they will be working on balancing all classes and making sure that teacher contractual class caps are met. It is normal for schedules to be changed within the first two weeks of school to allow for balancing. Please be patient as they work through this difficult task.
Our teachers also worked very hard this past week preparing lessons for our students that include the Sweetwater Essential Elements of Effective First Instruction (SE3FI), but most importantly, as I visited classes this past week, I saw many of our teachers working hard to make connections with each student. Making this effort will help to build strong relationships that will lead to creating a safe learning environment for all.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HARD WORK!

Good afternoon Cavalier Parents!!
You should have received a Parent Involvement Interest Form in your welcome packet. If you would like to participate in CVM’s Parent Committees such as the School Site Council (SSC), the English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC) and/or the Parent-Teacher Students Association (PTSA), please fill it out and return the form to the school’s Main Office – Room 110. If you do not have the form, we have attached a blank one here with the Principal’s Newsletter.
¡Buenas tardes, padres y tutores!
Thank you for your help,
Mr. Brian Deyo, M.Ed.
