*Dates may be adjusted due to inclement weather days.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Conferences will last approximately 15 minutes.
We will do our best to accommodate all time preferences, but conferences will be assigned based on the timestamp of your response.
Parents of students in Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade will meet with their child's full day teacher.
Conferences for students in the split grades will be divided as follows:
- Parents of students in 2nd grade will meet with Mrs. Tice.
- Parents of students in 3rd grade will meet with Mrs. Lapp or Mrs. Tice by homeroom and schedule availability.
- Parents of students in 4th grade will meet with Mrs. Hawkins.

PTO Fundraiser
PTO has an upcoming fundraiser with Power House Subs! This fundraiser will include subs, pizzas, desserts and an original Power House Dressing. All Items will be $10. Forms will go home next week with students and we ask that orders and money be turned in by January 26th. Delivery will be on February 9th. The funds raised from this fundraiser will go towards end of the year field trips. Thank you for your support of our students, school and PTO.

Changes in Transportation
Please remember that if there are ANY changes to your students transportation, you must send a note in with your child or call the school at 301-689-6132, please make sure that you speak to someone, do not leave a message. If the phones are down, the messages don't always come through until later. We ask that you please DO NOT email Mrs. Bolden or your childβs teacher with the change, we may not see the email in time. If you have questions please contact Mrs. Bolden.
Advance Absence Approval
If your child will be absent for personal reasons(vacations) and you know in advance, there is a form that needs to be filled out and signed by the classroom teacher and Mrs. Hawkins. You can email Mrs. Bolden or send a note and request the form be sent home with your child a week prior to the absence. Any questions please feel free to contact the office.
School Messenger
As we head into the winter months, please take a moment to double check your contact information in school messenger to ensure that you will receive a phone call or text for delays and school closures. Instructions can be found on the Garrett County Schools Website. Please let Mrs. Bolden if you need assistance.
Recess
As a reminder we still try to take the students out for some fresh air during the winter months. If the temperatures are above 32 degrees we will attempt to out. Please have your students wear a jacket and maybe gloves and hats.
