Note from the Principal

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing Easter Break. I am so thankful to Mrs. Ruckstuhl for leading our school during my absence. I was blessed with a wonderful maternity leave and enjoyed bonding with Baby Alice, but I am grateful to be back with my other family, all of you! Seeing the students and parents this morning in carline was a wonderful way to start my first day back.

Congratulations to all the students who read and hit a homerun! Students who read 4 books will receive two (2) tickets for the Friday, May 6th Bowie Baysox game! Look for the tickets to go home this Friday.

This week we will have school pictures for grades Pre-K through 3rd, as well as 8th grade cap and gown pictures. Please continue to bring in your Gala donations and purchase your tickets! It will be an amazing time.

With only five weeks left of school (three for our 8th graders!) please help us encourage the children to continue striving for academic excellence and finish the year strong! We remember to live Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, for the greater glory of God, with all of our words, actions, and thoughts.

SMA 80s Prom Gala

Tickets are on sale for the 80s Gala. It will take place on Saturday, May 14th at 5:00 PM. For more information, visit http://www.stmaryum.org/gala

Spring Pictures

PreK3 through 3rd grade will have pictures taken on Wednesday April 25th. Students should dress out of uniform in their choice of outfit for pictures. 8th grade will take their cap and gown pictures on this day as well. They should dress in full winter uniform.
