Check out our Transition Checklist!
The Transition Checklist (attached/linked below) was developed by Oakland County Transition Coordinators, including myself. The resources and agencies listed in this publication are some of the commonly accessed supports available for students and families, some of which may begin while the individual is still in high school. The majority of the information applies to students who continue school-provided special education services as young adults. This list of activities and resources is offered as general information. Details may change frequently and without notice. As a result, families are advised to check the current status with the appropriate agency, program, resource, etc.
Berkley Schools: Adult Transition Program
Hoppy Puppy 🐾
Hoppy Puppy is a microbusiness & community collaboration between Berkley Schools’ Adult Transition Program, Dog & Pony Show Brewery in Oak Park, and Our Neighborhood Academy in Downtown Berkley. What makes our treats different? We make/bake our treats using “spent grain” provided by Dog & Pony Show Brewery. This is a nutritious byproduct of the beer brewing process. Hoppy Puppy’s packaging & marketing takes place at Our Neighborhood Academy. By purchasing these tasty treats for your favorite pet, you’re supporting Berkley’s Adult Transition Program and our collaborating partners!
You can buy our dog treats at the following local businesses:
- Dog & Pony Show Brewery on 11 Mile in Oak Park
- Our Neighborhood Academy on 12 Mile in Downtown Berkley
- Coffee & Bark on Coolidge Hwy in Downtown Berkley
- Monarch Market Cafe on 11 Mile in Huntington Woods
