I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Hybrid students for following the CDC guidelines while in the building in order to keep everyone safe.
To our Virtual students who have been engaging frequently, thank you and keep up the great work. If you need help engaging with your teachers and completing school work, we are here for you and your families. Your well-being and academic success are very important to me and your team.

Notetaking Tips and Tricks
- Record meaningful facts. The goal of note-taking should be to summarize the most important parts of what a teacher shares during a lecture: dates, names, places, formulas, or anything else that is emphasized.
- Think quality over quantity. Big picture: notes should concentrate on what the teacher wants the class to know. That may very well mean your pencil isn’t moving the entire class period, and that’s perfectly fine.
- Highlight the clues. Listen for phrases like the most important part, for example, in summary, and as a review. These should trigger careful note-taking and you should notate these important points by highlighting or using another symbol.
- Say it another way. One of the most important parts of note-taking is not the note-taking itself—it’s the reflection process. Write down complex points in your own words so they are easier to understand later. This helps information “click” and reinforces long-term retention.
