Starting Nov. 28th we will be welcoming MBE Kindergarten class as they join their grade 8 reading buddies. Kinder8 is a mentorship program that focuses on literacy, friendship, and experiential learning throughout the year. It will be even more meaningful this year because we have a few students in grade 8 class that took part in Kinder8 when they were in kindergarten.

Grade 7 girls worked on different forms of communication in Wellness this week.

The girls did non-verbal group paintings to explore different kinds of communication and how miscommunication happens when someone says or does something but means something else.

This week in Science, the students in 7A enjoyed a tasty lesson and activity in the "Heat & Temperature" unit. First, they reviewed how heat transfers in conduction, convection, and radiation. Then, they made popcorn using the 3 methods and enjoyed every bite!

The student L.E.A.D.rs met this week to discuss the upcoming "Movember," mustache competition. On Thursday, Dec. 1st students are encouraged to wear their best fake mustache. Winners will be awarded prizes for the following:

1. Class participation

2. Group

3. Best individual
