The A-G Student of the Week is Jaxton Drain,
nominated by Mr. Andrews.
I am nominating Jaxton because he displays the pillar of respect. He cares about his school, and takes pride in his work. He is respectful to his peers as well as his teachers. - John Andrews
The H-O Student of the Week is Victoria Ogunmola,

Victoria always helps pick up our classroom at the end of the day. Beyond just her area, she picks up after other groups without ever being asked. She is a model student, both in her dedication to her studies and also because of her character. - Becky Green
The P-Z Student of the Week is Viviana Palmar Parra,

Viviana is always willing to help. She is happy and excited to be at school every day and she always makes a point to ask me how my day is going. - Lisa Slavinski
Paqui One Chip Challenge
Dear Parents and students, there is a new viral challenge going around that is causing disruptions and safety concerns called the “One Chip Challenge” where student try to eat one of these extremely spicy chips. Around the district, this challenge has already resulted in some students having to go to the hospital due to their reactions to this chip. Anyone found to have possession of these chips, or participate in the challenge, while on campus, may face suspension. Please do not bring these items to school.

PBIS Donations
PBIS Expectations & Rewards - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. One large piece is explaining expectations upfront. Another piece is rewarding students when we see those focused on positive behaviors. 3 campus-wide expectations posters (CLICK HERE) are placed throughout the campus. Teachers will take time during the first day or two to explain these rules in detail and help students understand what they look like. Our campus is also implementing new software (Classcraft) to encourage students to earn rewards and use them in many different ways. Here is a short video on how Classcraft works: https://youtu.be/M2uqd9ZOMaw. Please have your child download the app on their device and log into Classlink on the LCISD webpage (at the top) to start to explore what this is all about. They do NOT need a phone to do this. It can be done on a laptop or computer.
Parents if you are interested in donating to the PBIS school store the following list is a great start. We accept all donations both monetary and items.
We are excited to announce that H-E-B is a proud sponsor of the PBIS Store at Leaman.
If your company would like to sponsor the store, please contact Mr. Kracker, Mr. Gilmore or Ms. Session for more information.
