Understanding Imagine Math PreK-2

Once you have a student log in they will see a map that only has the Playground icon available. By clicking on the Playground they will begin their journey through the introductory lesson that teaches them how to navigate through the program.

Students can visit various areas of the map such as Info Center, Music Hall, Fair, and Treasure Island, but when they enter the Farm House a preliminary assessment will begin that analyzes their basic skills such as color and shape recognition, cardinality, and classification skills.

While the experience is not identical for every child or grade level during the pre-assessment lesson, once the pre-assessment completes, the map will open back up and only the Farm House will be available. This is how you'll know the THREE-PART assessment is beginning.

Once the student has completed all THREE parts of the assessment the map will come back up and the Dock will appear where they will click to begin their first lesson. A key to knowing students have entered an actual lesson is that the program no longer gives phrases such as, "Let's move on, " or, "Keep going," which is what they hear during the assessment. Instead LESSONS will give them guided instruction on the math concepts if they are unsuccessful with answers. IT MAY TAKE STUDENTS MORE THAN ONE LOGIN SESSION TO COMPLETE THIS ADAPTIVE ASSESSMENT SERIES.
