STAR Reports Going Home Today
STAR testing progress reports are being sent home with your child today. Your child will take this test multiple times throughout the school year so that teachers can monitor progress. Teachers will be using these STAR test scores to help your child further develop his/her math and literacy skills at school. At home, you can help by practicing math facts and encouraging your child to read daily.
As with any test, many factors can affect a student's scores. It is important to understand that these test scores provide only one picture of how your child is doing in school. If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.
Scaled Score = This is your child’s overall score and is based on both the difficulty of the questions and the number of correct responses.
Percentile Rank = This score indicates your child’s skills as compared to students nationally in the same grade. (For example, a student who scores in the 50th percentile has skills that are higher than 50% of students nationally.)
PTO Family Dance
Another great event this year for our families. Thank you to our PTO for sponsoring our annual K-5 family dance. Weathersfield families had a great time dancing and socializing with their Weathersfield family.
