New Doorbell Camera System at Owens

Owens Families,

Tyler ISD has been installing new doorbell camera systems at the front office at each of the campuses. The doorbell system at Owens was installed yesterday. This is to add an additional layer of security and safety for all. The entering parent/visitor will press the button to ring the doorbell and let the office know who you are and your purpose for coming. You will be asked to show your ID just like before; it is initially shown on camera before entering the building and will be scanned upon entrance. We want to make sure that only those with a vested interest in our students come on to our campus. When it comes to the safety of our children, we cannot be too careful.

Lost & Found Prevention

With cooler days, now is a great time to write your child's first and last name in their jackets, sweaters, and any other cold weather gear. Each year, there are dozens of jackets that remain unclaimed in lost and found after being left in P.E., recess, etc. If their is a name written, our staff is great about returning the left item to the student that same day.

Please use a sharpie and clearly label your child's belongings so we can prevent lost items this fall and winter.
