Starting May 15, Jobe families can begin submitting Proof of Residence for the 2023-2024 school year. Proof of Residency in the form of a current electric, gas, water bill or lease agreement with a SERVICE date in May 2023 – not the due date can be emailed to

MISD Makes Revisions to 2023-24 Calendar
In an effort to provide additional time and opportunities for teachers to prepare and plan effective instruction, the MISD board of trustees approved the following modifications to the 2023-24 school year calendar at the April 25 regular school board meeting:
- Sept. 22, 2023, has changed from a regular school day to a Student Holiday/Teacher Workday
- Feb. 16, 2024, has changed from a regular school day to a Student Holiday/Teacher Workday and Bad Weather Makeup Day 1
- April 1, 2024, has changed from a regular school day to a Student Holiday/Teacher Workday and Bad Weather Makeup Day 2

Campus Highlights
Jobe Bands at UIL
Please help us congratulate Jobe Band students for a job well done! Jobe Honors and Symphonic bands performed at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation the first weekend in April and played beautifully! These students have worked so hard and improved dramatically since the start of the year!
- Honors band received superior ratings on stage and excellent ratings in sightreading.
- Symphonic band received superior ratings on stage and good ratings in sightreading.
Art Students Win Gold at State Competition
Shout out to our Jobe TAEA Jr VASE art competition winners! On Saturday, April 15, we had 30 students win gold medals, and 2 students, Alisson Brown and Lluvia Suarez, came home with platinum medals which is a state-level award. Congrats to all our JrVASE participants! We are so proud of your hard work and dedication to your art!
Boys Golf Tournament
We are so proud of our Boys' Golf teams for their 1st and 2nd place tournament finishes! Connor Hardaway was 1st, Cayden Daugherty was 2nd, and Lane Deeds placed 3rd as individuals!

Here is the Summer Resource Guide put together by the MISD Special Education Department for families with a range of needs. The guide contains suggestions for daily activities, camps, and other ways to keep students engaged throughout the summer.
Helpful Information
Drop OFF/Pick Up Reminders
Please read these important reminders about dropping off and picking up your students.
Both Morning and Afternoon: Drop off/pick up is in the front of the building (not the back or side).
Both Morning and Afternoon: Students should walk bikes and skateboards across and should not ride them in the crosswalks or on school sidewalks.
Both Morning and Afternoon: Do not stop in the crosswalks.
Mornings: Drop-off is one lane against the curb for safety reasons. There is NO second lane drop off in the mornings.
Mornings: Please pull forward past the front door to drop off your student, and do not stop in the crosswalk.
Mornings: If you need to drop items off, please park in the parking lot. The parking lot is reserved for handicapped parking, and those needing to park.
Afternoon: Pickup is two lanes, the third lane is for passing only. Please see this link for a map of afternoon pickup procedures.
Afternoon: The lane closest to the curb should pull forward past the front door to pick up students. This helps move traffic through the lines.
Afternoon: The second lane stops before the crosswalk leading to the front doors of the school. (This is the second crosswalk.)
Afternoon: Please do not park on the street or on private property to pick up your student.
Afternoon: The parking lot is reserved for handicapped parking, and those needing to park in the afternoons. There is no pickup from the parking lot.
