Intervention Team Updates: PMP End of Year Procedures (May 9-May20)
Our window for making EOY PMP determinations for the 22-23 school year will be May 9-May 20. All teachers of ELA and Math will need to go into myStudent and confirm PMP status for each student on the PMP/Interventions tab.
We will roll in current PMP status of meeting or not meeting standards, so teachers will need to only make updates if the status is changing for 22-23. We want to ensure the PMP designations are as accurate as possible, so we can notify each parent on the Q4 Report Card.
Once we have FSA results for grades 3-10, any student scoring a Level 3, 4, or 5 will be marked as Met Standards for the content area of ELA (Reading and Writing) or Math.
And any student that scores a Level 1 will be marked as Not Met Standards and will roll into the 22-23 school year with a PMP.
Next steps:
- Administer spring assessments
- Review data and cross check with EOY PMP Considerations tab in myEWS
- May 9-May 20, update ELA and Math PMP status for each student in myStudent on PMP/Intervention tab
- All 21-22 Tier 3 Intervention Plans in the SSS Module will be Locked on May 25th (OTIS)
- Parents will be notified of 22-23 PMP status in Q4 Report Card
Please reach out to Courtney Lough, Jan Anderton, or Larry Porter if you have any questions.

A Message from Natalie Wanamaker
Good morning, Coaches!
For those of you who are unaware, I have accepted a position as an Interim Manager of Technology and Information Services. What was once divided into a Student Team (myStudent) and a Business Team (Munis, TCP), in addition to my work (digital resources, Office 365, RMA support, etc.) has now been combined into a newly formed Applications Support Team (Visual below). The specific division of duties within this newly formed team will be determined soon, and at this time, I will continue to support in the same capacity. As always, feel free reach out to me for any of your needs. π
As a part of the merge, I am now managing our Help Desk staff (Help Desk, myStudent Help Desk and Munis Help Desk) in one location, in Building 4. As the new Manager, I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate the importance of your staff submitting their own tickets through the Web Help Desk icon on their LaunchPads in myPascoConnect. Please, moving forward, do not submit a ticket on the behalf of any of your staff members. Whether it is a digital resource issue, a software issue, a hardware issue, etc., if the issue is occurring to the staff's device/account or to their students device/account or it is something that is in the staff members (printer, ScreenBeam, etc.) the staff who is experiencing the issue must submit the ticket. Of course, if your staffβs computer isnβt working, then it would be appropriate for you to submit a ticket on their behalf. Having your staff submit their own tickets will ensure that we are providing the best support possible to all end users. Also, if you or your staff are currently doing so, please do not submit tickets through the email accounts that we have (techhelp@, mystudenthelp@, etc.). For all staff, tickets should only be submitted through the Web Help Desk icon.
Zearn Summer Math Series
We have current Pasco County data that proves students doing 3 Zearn lessons per week have a significant increase in their NWEA and FSA data. Wouldnβt it be great if we could continue that for the summer? Well, it is here!
Zearn presents their summer 2022 Intensive Math Series which offers a coherent, focused 4β6-week sequence that will build strong foundations for all rising 1st through 9th graders to help them succeed in their 22-23 academic year. Note: Middle School Students (currently 6th - 8th)will only have this available until June 30th .
Please note that these lessons would have to be assigned to your students before leaving for the summer and I also encourage you to notify parents about this incredible summer opportunity. Click here to find out more.
Feel free to contact Jan Anderton, should you have any questions.
End of Year PMP Information and Reminders
EOY PMP Reminders
The PMP window in myStudent is now open through May 20th for teachers to make EOY PMP determinations in the areas of ELA (Reading and Writing) and Math for the 22-23 school year. Remember, parents will be notified through the Q4 report card, so teachers do not need to do anything else at this time.
We will send home our final PMP monthly progress letters on May 25th. PMP Letters will be posted in the Letter Queue to review on May 19th and then reposted the morning of May 24th. You can find the directions for printing or emailing the letters on pages 4-5 of the Academic Monitoring in myStudent.docx.
All current 21-22 PMP Intervention Plans (SSS module in myStudent) will be locked on May 25th and archived. Teachers will not need to do anything; this will be done at the district level.
You may access the Pasco MTSS Guide and reference pgs. 30-32 of the Appendix: Progress Monitoring Plan Guidance for additional information about PMPs.
Please reach out to Courtney Lough, Jan Anderton, or Larry Porter if you have any questions as you engage in this process.
Math Coach Input for the Education Strategy Group (optional participation, $25 gift card compensation)
Education Strategy Group has partnered with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to
gather insights and experiences from mathematics instructional coaches about the role they play within their districts. In particular, we are interested in learning more about how coaches interact with each other and school staff, share information, make decisions, are influenced by district policies, and engage with research.
The Foundation is committed to supporting the development and implementation of high-quality and research-based resources and support structures that are useful, usable and used. Through the interviews, we hope to share insight with the Foundation into the needs and priorities of district stakeholders to inform their strategy, support to the field, and future investment efforts.
We are hoping to have a 30-minute conversation with mathematics instructional coaches, specialists, and directors/coordinators between now and May 27.
We recognize the challenge of scheduling in this current environment and appreciate your willingness to talk to us. The insights shared will help shape future investment efforts to develop, disseminate, and support the use of evidence-based research and assistance. We are happy to be able to offer $25 gift cards to compensate for individuals' time.
Individuals interested in participating can click on this Calendly link to identify a convenient time for this discussion.
For additional questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
Thank you,
Briana Falduti

Reading Endorsement Fee Waivers and Supplement
Effective July 1, 2021, the Florida Department of Education requires all teachers providing intensive reading interventions to have the reading endorsement or coverage area on their certificate. The District is encouraging all teachers to add reading as an area of certification. To assist in this process, the District and USEP have agreed to reimburse teachers the cost of taking the reading exam and adding the reading endorsement to their certificate. In addition, the District will pay a one-time supplement to current instructional staff who added reading coverage to their certificate between the dates of July 1, 2018 β June 30, 2021.
Reimbursement Eligibility Requirements
For the 2021-2022 school year, the Board shall provide teachers with an exam fee reimbursement of $150 for a passing score on the reading certification exam taken July 1, 2021 β June 30, 2022, and an endorsement fee reimbursement of $75 for adding the reading endorsement coverage to their certificate between the dates of July 1, 2021 β June 30, 2022. To be eligible for the exam fee reimbursement, teachers are required to add the reading endorsement to their certificate.
Supplement Eligibility Requirements
Teachers currently in an instructional position who passed the reading certification exam OR completed the district reading in-service courses AND added reading coverage to their certificate between July 1, 2018 β June 30, 2022 are eligible for a one-time supplement of $225.
Employees meeting either the reimbursement or supplement requirements, should complete the Reading Endorsement Supplement form to receive the reimbursement or supplement payment. The Reading Endorsement Supplement form must be submitted by July 1, 2022, to be eligible for payment.
To take the reading exam, please click the following link to register: Register for Reading Endorsement Exam
The district recommends teachers attend a reading exam preparation session prior to taking this exam. More information regarding reading exam preparation can be found in myPGS under course code #4236 and section 30847
