As we are settling into the school year the students are becoming more comfortable with the routines and expectations each day. There are many great things happening on a daily basis around Triton Elementary School. There are definitely some things that we can improve, but I believe in our staff and look forward to a great school year!

We are excited to welcome back Homecoming week this year. Homecoming will be taking place from September 27 - October 2.

Our elementary school will participate in the following activities:

1. Dress Up Days

• Monday = PJ Day
• Tuesday = Dress Your Best (picture day)
• Wednesday = Dress Your Best (picture day)
• Thursday = Class Color Day (Students will choose on Friday)
• Friday = Cobra Spirit

2. Friday Pep Fest (10:25 AM)

3. Homecoming Parade (1:15 PM)

4. Tailgate Party (Put on by TEAM) 3:30 - 6:30 Oct. 1 West of the bus barn

• Food Trucks
• Activities
• Face Painting
• Fun!

I appreciate the feedback regarding the pick up at the end of the school day. Students will be bringing home color coded name sheets that will aid in recognition of parents. This will help tremendously when it becomes cold or rainy outside. In those situations we will keep the students inside while they wait. You should be seeing these sheets by the end of the week.

We are consistently beating the buses which I know is an improvement from the past. I also believe that we can make it even smoother if we all do our part.

A few important reminders that will help improve:

• Please do not stop in the drive thru lane.
• If there is space ahead of you in the pick up lane, please pull up. Of course you will want to leave enough room for you to pull into the drive thru lane if necessary.
• If it is necessary to park, please use the parking spaces. I would also encourage you to pull through so that you do not have to back out.

We will continue to improve this process. Our number one priority is the safety of our students!

Picture day will take place this year on September 28 and 29. Retakes will be on Oct. 28.

Our parent engagement group has many fun things planned for our students this year. They will have a desk set up during our interview days if you are looking to join or just want to ask questions.

You will also receive information at interview days on the TEAM fundraiser. Cobra Cash is a free will donation with 100% of proceeds come directly back to our students!
