CMS Social Studies Student of the Week- This week Zach Haseman honored 6th grader - Lonnie “Brady” Lane. He is a great kid, who goes above and beyond in his work, always asking the right questions, and wanting to learn more. He is a leader of his peers in the classroom. Way to go Brady!

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD has adopted an electronic flyer distribution program called Peachjar. Beginning February 15, with the new system, flyers from community organizations will be distributed through a weekly email and accessible through the school websites. This is part of our ongoing effort to focus resources on education while reducing the environmental impact of our activities.

GCISD parents will receive a welcome email from Peachjar that includes a username and password. This is provided to give parents the opportunity to manage their account and flyer delivery preferences. NJHS is hosting the annual Pasta for Pennies Drive benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students will turn in their donations to their 5th period teachers. The class with the most money donated will have a lunch catered by Olive Garden. The 2nd and 3rd place classes will receive an ice cream party in May. We are also hosting a Student/Faculty basketball game during March Madness and students can pay $1 to vote for the student players. Snacks and water can be purchased at the game.

If you would like to donate online click here for the link. Be sure to print out your receipt for your student to turn in to their 5th period teacher to receive credit. Please make checks out to LLS or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and NOT to CMS.

In the 2018-2019 school year, GCISD will offer a tuition-based pre-k program at Bransford Elementary, Colleyville Elementary, O.C. Taylor Elementary, Grapevine Elementary, Heritage Elementary and Bear Creek Elementary. There will be limited availability at Timberline and Silver Lake Elementary for a blended program that includes English and Spanish (an option if you are considering Dual Language in Kindergarten). Registration for the April 21 Math Telescoping Exams will open on February 22 and close on March 8. Please click here for more information. Our second testing date will be June 20th with registration from May 3-23, 2018.
