CMIT Fall Cafe
Are you a natural performer? Looking for a place to share your talents with your friends and family? Sign up for CMIT Fall Cafe, hosted by the National Honor Society on Friday, November 17th from 6:00-7:30pm. Students are welcome to sign up for our "open mic night" event. Performers who are interested must have their act pre-screened by Dr. Gaudette. Prospective performers may sing, dance, play an instrument, perform spoken word, recite poetry, perform comedy, and more! To sign up, email Dr. Gaudette with a description of your planned performance by Friday, November 3rd. Performers get into the event for free. Guests must pay $5 for a ticket in the week of the event.
Acts of Kindness
Whatever act of kindness you do for someone has the potential to influence a person's life and future and the potential to impact history. However small an act might seem, there is no telling the many lives it can change and affect in a positive manner. Imagine the impact many small acts of kindness can have on the world. Want to feel like your life is making an impact on the world and that you are making a difference? Start with a small act of kindness. It'll make you kinda sorta an important person in history.
Kindness Suggestion: Leave pumpkins on a family’s doorstep along with kid friendly tools for carving.
Kindness Quote: "In the end, only kindness matters." --Jewel
Kindness Suggestion: Give a friend something meaningful to you.
Kindness Quote: "Wherever there is a human need, there is an opportunity for kindness and to make a difference." --Kevin Heath
Kindness Suggestion: Write positive messages on the sidewalk with chalk.
Kindness Quote: "Tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness and despair, but manifestations of strength and resolution." --Kahlil Gibran
Kindness Suggestion: Show appreciation to someone in your school today by leaving an anonymous note.
Kindness Quote: "Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love." --Lao Tzu
Kindness Suggestion: Help make your favorite meal today.
Kindness Quote: "No act of kindness is too small. The gift of kindness may start as a small ripple that over time can turn into a tidal wave affecting the lives of many." --Kevin Heath

Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting last week!
Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting last week! We received some updates on school activities and clubs from Ms. Ozturk and discussed the upcoming Spirit Week events.
We also were able to share concerns around parking, the PA system and kickboard. Ms. O'Donnell explained how kickboard works and Ms. Tarver shared some details about dress down day eligibility.
PTSO is planning a gathering soon at the school. Perhaps a holiday get together for members or a fundraising activity. We are still looking for a Recording Secretary and our committees are welcoming any volunteers.
Attached is the recording of the meeting.
If you have any questions, please email cmitptso@gmail.com
See you on NOVEMBER 15TH at 6:30 for our next meeting!
