Skyview Upper Elementary School
Message to students
This message was sent via e-mail to students on Monday, June 8.
I am so proud of how you all have handled the challenges of this spring. Thank you for taking responsibility for your learning and for working with your teachers and classmates in new ways.
Skyview has a tradition of recognizing students for exemplary modeling of the Character Counts pillars. This year all student who were recognized with a PILLARIFIC slip are receiving a certificate in the mail. May you always strive to be a person of character in your thoughts, words, habits and actions.
While it is time for us all to take a break from school, it is also time for us to prepare for the upcoming year. Mrs. Hadrick and I are planning to meet virtually with groups of (volunteer) students in the coming weeks to plan for Skyview community building in the 2020-2021 school year. To our current 5th graders – this is an opportunity to share your thoughts and ideas. Please email me (mgorla@methacton.org) or Mrs. Hadrick (dhadrick@methacton.org) if you are interested in being part of this group.
One of our favorite Skyview traditions is gathering as a staff to wave goodbye as the buses depart on the last day of school. Take a look at this “Virtual Wave Goodbye” video with summer wishes from the faculty and staff of Skyview: https://youtu.be/dVqGVZvDaWM
Be kind, stay safe and be well –
Mrs. Gorla
