Message From The Principal...
Good Afternoon R-PEL Families,
We often talk about the importance of spending time talking with our children. Creating and fostering open communication with our children is critical for their growth and understanding of the world around them. Recent events within our community and from around the state are reminders of this. Our partnership in your child's education will continue to support all of our children's safety while they are at school. This partnership will ensure that all of our students can continue to productively learn and grow. Thank you families! Remember, if you see something or hear something, say something!
The holiday season is another opportunity for a reminder about the importance of self-care. It is so important that you take some time to get away from technology and the stress of everyday life. Don't lose sight of this even with the weather turning towards the winter season. Winter in West Michigan has many outside gifts to share with all of us.

Bus Information / Safety - bus riders only
This time of year brings with it several situations that we need to plan for and talk to our kids about. It is really important that our students wait at bus stops in the morning do so in a safe location. It is dark in the morning and this past week we had to navigate our roads during inclement weather. This combination makes it difficult to see our students as they wait for their busses. Please encourage your children to wait at a safe distance from the street for their bus.
There have been instances this school year where students are out of school for extended periods of time. If your child is going to be out for more that three days please communicate this to our transportation department. They can be reached at 744-4777 ext. 2411
