A Message from Mrs. Caudill
Do you ever sit back and just listen to conversations of kids? The joy I find in just listening is something I find hard to contain. I have not been feeling the greatest this week, but, the sound of our students has been the best medicine. Now, don't get me wrong, some of the stuff that comes out of their mouth makes me want to say, "what??" But, the perseverance, laughter, excitement in learning that I hear in classrooms and in the hallways is what warms my teacher soul. Our staff bring out the best in our students. They are magicians and I get the pleasure of watching the show.
Stay well,
Devon Caudill

Pink, purple and Blue Bottle Caps needed
Our 5th graders have started working on the bottle cap mural that will be installed in Amerman's main hallway later this year! We have a need for PINK, PURPLE and BLUE plastic bottle caps. If you happen to have any bottle caps of these particular colors, we'd appreciate you sending them to the art room with your student. Check out our progress so far. It looks AMAZING. We can't wait to see it completed.
Thank you in advance for your help with this special project!

It's Time for Habit 3 - Put First Things First
We will be working on Habit 3: Put First Things First this month. Work first, Then Play!
What this means: Focus on what is important, schedule the important things first. Don’t be a dreamer - stay focused!
“I spend my time on things that are most important.”
“I say no to things I know I should not do.”
“I set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan.”
“I am disciplined and organized.”
How can I do this in my life?
1. Do your homework as soon as you come home from school.
2. Do something you have been putting off for a long time.
3. Think about your most important responsibilities. Do them first.
Great Books for Habit #3- Put First Things First
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Pokey and the Spelling Test by Sean Covey
How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss
Whistle for Willie by Ezra Jack Keats
Froggy Gets Dressed by Jonathan London
The Little Red Hen by Paul Galdone
Spotlight on our Amerman Bobcats
How to writing
Mrs. Pavlich's students learned how to write a "How to" paper. Each of them wrote step-by-step how to make a pizza. Each of them also put their own creative spin on their directions as well.
Math fun
Mrs. Willerer's student's really love working at their individual levels on various math programs. They are able to be challenged or supported. They get just what they need!
Morning Announcements
Our students love watching the morning announcements. One of the things our announcements does is celebrate the holiday traditions of our families. Here you see Ms. Wells' class learning about Hanukkah.
