Eagle Eye -JMS Parent Newsletter#38
May 16 - 20, 2022
Happy Friday!
Good evening Jefferson Parents & Families:
It's been an outstanding week at JMS! We had the pleasure of welcoming our rising 5th graders from Glenwood and Woodland for their school visits and had a great turnout for the rising 5th grade parent night, our 8th grade students experienced a great opportunity at Roane State Community College during the "Get Hired" event, and spring athletic tryouts are in full swing. This week, our 7th/8th grade chorus will be presenting their spring concert, the track and field team will participate in the state meet, tryouts will commence for boys and girls basketball, the JMS band will perform in the ORHS Auditorium, and we will complete the collection of student devices as we draw close to summer break. Students will also continue their work on final projects, final assignments, and preparation for final exams.
With a very short amount of time remaining in the academic year please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions regarding end of the year academics, events, or procedures.
As always, there is a lot going on at JMS, so please check out the week at a glance schedule below for more details.
Thank you for your support and we hope you have a wonderful weekend!
