As we approach our Thanksgiving Break, we want to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday. We sincerely appreciate the continued support and active participation that our families provide our school community. Your contributions foster a positive culture for all and make MMS the special place that it is. We feel incredibly fortunate to serve the RSU 57 communities and to be a part of your middle schooler's life. Thank you, as always, for being a part of MMS. Happy Thanksgiving!

The end of Trimester 1 is nearly upon us, so it is a great time to check StudentVUE and ParentVUE and boost any academic scores. Academic honors are within reach!

MMS had a great time at a fall Spirit Week organized by our Student Council. All donations will go to benefit the Veterans Dinner at MMS on Thursday, December 7th. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to State Champions Jr. Mustangs Football!
The MAYFC Junior Mustangs Varsity football team won the Mountain Division State Championship Game last weekend! To celebrate, the Jr. Mustangs Varsity football team, JV team, cheerleaders, their coaches, and the Gold Ball were honored with a parade through our team hallways. RSU 57 Athletic Director Daniel Lawrence and MHS Varsity Football Coach Lucas Labbe also attended the celebration. Congratulations to both Junior Mustangs football teams on their undefeated seasons!
MMS Band Announcements
Congratulations to the following students for auditioning and being accepted into the MMEA District 1 Honor Band:
- Renee Reel (Percussion)
- Thomas Bryant (Percussion)
- Lydia Witham (Flute)
- Lillian Nickerson (Flute)
- Paige MacAlpine (Trombone)
These students competed against 13 other middle schools throughout York and Cumberland County and will join other members of the group on March 1st and 2nd in Sanford to present a Concert.
Winter Band Concert for ALL 6th, 7th and 8th grade students will be on Tuesday, December 19th, 7:00 p.m., in the MMS Cafetorium. Students should arrive at 6:30 to set up, warm-up and tune.
Band Polo Shirts will be passed out in December and will be worn along with all black from the waist down. Black (mostly black) shoes OR the cleanest pair of shoes you own are fine.
Concerts will be a Summative Grade for all students.
