Cubs Weekly

Welcome to Salem Middle School's weekly newsletter. These will be sent out every Friday, recapping the week and publishing dates of important events in coming weeks. We hope you find the information useful! We are ready for a great school year at SMS.

6th Grade students

Please come at the designated times.

• Students last names A-J please come August 4th at one of the following times 5:30-6:30 or 7:30-8:30.
• Students last names K-Z please come August 12th at one of the following times 5:30-6:30 or 7:30-8:30.

New 7th and 8th grade students

New 7th and 8th grade students to Salem Middle School are asked to come August 13th, 6:30-7:30.

Help us limit the number of attendees by having no more than TWO individuals (parents, guardians, siblings) in attendance other than the student(s) enrolled (three total). Please bring face coverings and practice social distancing.

Teachers at Salem Community Schools will have optional training/work days Monday through Wednesday, August 3-5. Required teacher work days are Thursday and Friday, August 6, 7.

Hello!

My name is Caitlin Ellis and I am the middle school counselor. I was a teacher at SMS for three years and a counselor at SHS for one year.

I am so excited to be a part of the Salem Middle School family. I am a Salem graduate and my husband, who also teaches at SMS, and I live in Salem with our boxer, June Bug.
