Some families may have received an attendance letter with your child's report card. We realize that this fall has been a very difficult one with many different illnesses. Please continue to keep your child home when they are ill. You can always reach out to your child's teacher and pick up work that they are missing when they are absent for any reason. The purpose of the letter was to notify you of the number of absences or tardies that your child has at this point of the year. A letter was sent to any student that has had 5 or more absences/tardies (excused or unexcused) this year thus far. If you or your family is struggling with getting your child to school, keeping up with missed work, or your child's social emotional needs, please reach out to us. We are here to help you and support you.

There have been many of you asking about how to deliver birthday invitations at school. Your child can deliver birthday invitations at school if they are for everyone in the class or for every gender in the class (all the boys or all the girls). If you are only inviting select members of the class, please refer to the PTA Member Hub. You may be able to find contact information for students if they are registered through the Hub.

We are looking for parent volunteers to come in and provide Junior Achievement lessons to the students in Kindergarten-4th grade. Junior Achievement is a wonderful program that is dedicated to educating students about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy through hands-on and engaging lessons. The lessons are well planned and easy to implement. If you are interested in volunteering for this program or have any questions about it, please contact the PTA coordinator, Shea Wanshek.

There is no student attendance November 21st-November 25th. Classes resume on Monday, November 28th.

As the winter weather is rolling in, please remember to have your child dress appropriately for the weather. Students will go outside for recess and line up if it is a "real feel" of 15 degrees or higher. Please make sure that your child is wearing snow pants and boots when it is snowing or when there is snow on the ground. If your child does not bring snow pants and boots, then they will only be playing on the blacktop at recess time. Sometimes it is wet outside, so sending a pair of pants and socks to keep at school is a great idea. We do not have a lot of extra clothes in the office for a child to change into if they happen to get wet while playing outside.

Student computers were sent home today to be used throughout break. Please make sure that you child can login to their computer and specified programs that are used in their classroom. In the event that we have an ELearning day due to inclement weather, students will complete work on these devices. If you have any difficulty, please notify your child's teacher! Please make sure your child brings their device back to school on Monday, November 28th, fully charged!

When you open this newsletter on a desktop computer, there is a button on the right hand side of the newsletter. This will give you a drop down menu to choose the language you need! If your child is going to be absent from school for any reason, please call the Evergreen Office, 630-876-7810, to report your child's absence no later than 8:00 AM the day of the absence.
