West End Elementary Summer Update.2

The countdown begins....5 days until Meet the Teacher and 8 days until the first day of school!

We wanted to share a few additional updates with you.

Many of you have completed your FinalForms updates! Thank you!! If you didn't see an email in your inbox, be sure to check your junk and/or clutter folder. If you did not get an email or need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact West End - 864-397-2500. Please complete this registration process by Friday, July 28.

Teacher Assignments - You will be receiving a welcome back contact from your child's teacher by Wednesday, July 26.

Homework Center/After School Care - We have sent emails to those who are on the list for homework center/after school care and those who are on the waitlist. Please let us know if you signed up and did not receive and email or if you need more information.

This week, because there is no air conditioning in the office, our office will be open from 8:00-1:00...Monday-Thursday. Have a question? You may call anytime from 8:00-4:00 at 864-397-2500 or email - Angie Garrison.

West End's Mission: Our West End Community maximizes students’ potential by providing instruction that builds our students’ knowledge, strengthens their skills, and develops in them career-ready characteristics for success in an ever-changing world.

We are excited for you guys to walk through the building Monday, July 31, between 1:00 and 4:00 to let our new students practice walking to their classrooms! This is a bit different! We found last year that allowing time for our K4 and K5 parents and children to walk the building the day before school started made the first day of school go more smoothly for parents, students, and teachers. Why do we do have all students walk themselves into the building on the first day? Safety. West End's parking lot and carline areas are not designed for extra parking and folks walking across the car line. We appreciate your willingness to do something different so that we can keep everyone safe!
