Good Afternoon RPEL Families,

We had another great week of learning at RPEL this past week! Our students are definitely finding their groove in their classrooms. It has been fun watching our students become families within their classroom communities.

I will be sending an update out this week regarding how we are going to report on our students' progress this year and how and when we will be holding Parent/Teacher Conferences this year. Stay tuned!

PICTURES - If you missed our evening opportunity for school pictures feel free to join RPI on October 20 -- 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the cafeteria.
On Mondays, Rocket Virtual students can pick up their lunch/breakfast meals at the high school from 2pm-3pm. Please enter off of Giles Road. You will receive 5 days of breakfast and lunch when you pick it up.

Halloween Communication

Halloween - It is weeks away, but similar to spirit days, learning will go on as normal and we will allow costumes to be worn to school on 10/30 (which is also a half day we release at 12:00). Students must be able to wear a “normal” mask with their costume. The rest of their face needs to be uncovered, not have any blood, gore, or violence. Each teacher will have a fun activity planned for a small portion of the morning and a treat will be provided to each class. We can not have visitors in the building on Halloween. Please do not send treats or candy to school on this day (or any day).

COVID 19 Return to School Tool Kit - Muskegon Public Health - This is not a new document but as the cold season approaches, it is good to review. Thank you for your support at home with the daily screening and encouraging of masks, distancing, and handwashing at school. Return to School Tool Kit

BARK - This is just a reminder that we use Bark to alert us to any communication on a school issued device or within a school account that is concerning for Face to Face and Rocket Virtual students. We reach out to parents with any concerns.

Saebrs - Your student has taken the traditional math and reading screener in Fastbridge which provides us with information that informs our instruction, programming, and support of your student. With the same goal to support our students, we will also be doing a screener called SAEBRS which looks at the emotional, academic, and social behavior of each student. This is a very brief screener, but will provide us with helpful information. Please let me know if you have questions.

Library Books - If you still have library books or Rocket Reader Books from school please return them ASAP. We have waived all fines and fees at this time.
