Special Edition Registration

Greetings wonderful MVLA Parents!

This newsletter will be a collection of all the possible information I can include about registration for our next school year. There is a LOT, so hold on to your hats!

If your student is a current MVLA student, there is no need to reapply. You simply need to make sure Parent Vue is current and look for any information about registering your student for next year through Parent Vue. That will come out later in the Spring.

If you know someone interested in coming to MVLA for the first time next year, they need to do the application process. We will only have 25 spots open for next year. We will not be able to take any 7th graders as this year's 6th grade class is quite large.

The applications are already posted on our website.

• Application Deadline - January 31,2023
• Acceptance Letters begin to be sent out by February 10, 2023

I know it's hard to believe, but they are almost out of middle school. Here are the important dates:

• The week of December 5th - 8th graders will get their letter for High School. This letter will have information about their ZONE school. They MUST apply to this school even if they are going to do a transfer request.

• January 30 - February 10th is the Transfer Request window.

• January 31st - High Schools will be coming to MVLA.

• Open House for all High Schools is on February 15th.

January 18th - Lynn Magnet Open House

January 19th - Sierra Magnet Open House

January 24th - Zia Open House

Jan 30 - Feb 10th - Open Enrollment Window - Transfers will only be taken during this time through an online process TBA.

Feb. 3rd - Magnet Deadline

Feb 6-7 - Parents notified by email regarding Magnet acceptance

Mesilla Valley Leadership Academy is a 6-8 school of choice here in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Started by Dr. Toni Hull, we are a RCA inspired project-based school. We have five houses who all compete to win the coveted Title of Champions each year.
