Leptitox Review: Is it a scam?
Leptitox ingredients, side effects, dosage & more reviewed!
What is Leptitox?
Leptitox is an extremely popular supplement right now. It is primarily sold as a weight loss supplement, although it does clai to deliver a wide range of benefits touching on every aspect of health and performance.
In particular, Leptitox claims to deliver the following key benefits:
- Regulates and stabilizes blood sugar levels
- Increases your metabolic rate
- Suppresses food cravings
- Directly triggers oxidation of stored fat
- Reduces oxidative stress and promotes energy levels
- Discourages fat storage
- Uses 100% natural ingredients
Leptitox was designed by Morgan Hurst and Sonya Rhodes. As far as I can tell, these are two complete novices in the supplement industry; they have no experience developing, manufacturing or selling nutritional supplements, and they do not seem to be experts on health, nutrition, fitness, or weight loss.
According to the merchant site though, Leptitox is a revolutionary weight loss supplement. It claims to be a totally unique fat burner offering fast, safe, effective help for people struggling to lose weight.
Sound too good to be true?
It usually is! The only way we can really find out is by doing a detailed Leptitox review!
Does Leptitox really work? Is is safe? Does Leptitox cause side effects? Does it really helop you lose weight? Is Leptin resistance even a thing? Read the full review below to find out!
How does Leptitox claim to work?
According to the markers of Leptitox - the completely unqualified and inexperienced Morgan Hurst and Sonya Rhodes - this fat burner has a completely unique mecbhanism of action.
Leptitox apparently works by manipulating the body's ability to recognise a hormone called Leptin, and by reducing something called 'Leptin Resistance'.
What does all of this mean?
About Leptin and "Leptin Resistance"
Leptin is the hormone that controls hunger. When leptin levels are low, you start to crave calories. As leptin levels rise, you feel increasingly hungry.
But once you've eaten food, leptin levels quickly start to rise. When leptin levels are high, you start to feel full; effectively, the brais the signal which tells you to find and consume moe food!
Leptin regulates the feeling of satisfaction by communicating with the hypothalamus. The constant ebb and flow of leptin levels is what dictates your appetite and your satiety. This is the lever by which the brain controls your food intake.
What is Leptin Resistance?
If you've never heard of leptin resistance, you're not alone - this isn't a condition many health experts will be familiar with!
Like a lot of the other types of "reistance" spoken about on YouTube today, Leptin Resistance strikes me as something totally fictitious.
But for the sake of our Leptitox review, let's go through what Morgan Hurst thinks Leptin Resistance means for health.
According to the manufacturer: "Leptin resistance takes place when the brain doesn't recognize the signals that the leptin is sending and does not recognize a person's stomach as being full. The opposite happens, and the brain feels that the individual is in the starvation of fats, and instead of burning fat, the body holds on to it, leading the body to crave more fatty and sugary food."
Leptitox Ingredients: What is in Leptitox?
What is in Leptitox? This the most important question for any Leptitox review to answer, as it is the ingredients which make a supplement what it is (not the makreting).
It is actually hard to find out exactly what is in Leptitox. There is no ingredient information on the official website, and most reviews just talk about what "some of" the ingredients are in Leptitox.
Here are the ingredients in Leptitox:
- Marian Thistle
- Jujube
- Brassicas
- Apium Graveolens seeds
- Grape Seed
- Chanca Piedra
- Alfalfa
- Taraxacum leaves
- Meratrim
This doesn't look like your average weight loss supplement. In fact, I've never seen many of these ingredients before now; no other fat burner on the market uses these same ingredients.
This isn't surprising; Leptitox doesn't claim to work like most other weight loss supplements!
Unlike every other fat burner on the market today, Leptitox claims to work by manipulating your hormones!
So, does it work?
To find out, let's take a closer look at the ingredients in Leptitox to see what they do, how they work, and whether the science backs them up like the manufacturer claims.
Marian Thistle
Marian thistle, more commonly known as Milk Thistle, has long been used in traditional medicine as a way to promote liver and skin health, reduce cholesterol, and promote weight loss. Bodybuilders have used it for a long time to protect their liver while running cycles.
However, there is no concrete evidence that Milk Thistle is effective for promoting weight loss. There is certainly no evidence that Milk Thistle influences Leptin in any way.
Jujube
Also known as Chinese date or Red Date, Jujube is a fruit in the Buckthorn family. It has no known health or performance-enhancing properties. Jujube may help overall health by delivering antioxidants, but no more so than any other fruit. It does not affect Leptin in any way.
Chanca Piedra
This is a tropical plant said to have numerous health-promoting properties. Supplement manufacturers and "alternative health" practitioners claim that this stuff does everything from breaking down kidney stones to reducing systemic inflammation. However, there is absolutely no evidence for any of the claims made about Chanca Piedra. I have no idea what its purpose is in Leptitox.
Artichoke Extract
Artichoke extract is linked with improved brain function over the long term. However, there is no link between artichoke extract and weight management. There is no reason to think that artichoke extract helps with leptin resistance, hunger, or appetite.
Dandelion
Dandelion root hs been used by bodybuilders for years as a cutting aid. Dandelion acts as a powerful diuretic. It forces your body to expel water, making you quickly lose weight and appear more "shredded". But it does not influence appetite. Leptitox appears to be full of ingredients that have no effect on leptin levels in any way, shape or form.
Chicory Root
Chicory root is an effective supplement for controlling appetite. But it doesn't work by reducing hunger hormone levels. Instead, chicory root works by bulking out your stomach. It is a rich source of water soluble fiber. This fiber absorbs water in the stomach, expands, and thickens. This makes you feel significantly fuller after eating smaller meals.
Yarrow
Like chicory, this water soluble fiber makes you feel fuller for longer. Fiber also promotes healthy blood sugar level maintenance, which helps prevent energy crashes and food cravings.
Proprietary Blend
There is no point even talking about the Leptitox proprietary blend. Like most proprietary blends, the Leptitox blend is stuffed full of useless ingredients. This blend is almost certainly just a load of celery powder and ginger thrown in with a couple of more unusual herbs and spices to make the label more interesting. None of these ingredients do anything to help with weight loss; celery might be good for you, but doses of below 500mg are pointless.
If there was any one red flag for Leptitox fat burner and weight loss supplement, it is this proprietary blend. Basic, useless ingredients, low overall dose - it can't get worse.
Is Leptitox safe?
Is Leptitox a safe weight loss supplement?
Unfortunately, the answer to this question is "maybe not". I wouldn't recommend Leptitox to anybody as many of the ingredients have not been properly tested for long-term safety in humans.
The proprietary blend also means you have no idea how much of certain ingredients you're really taking when supplementing with Leptitox.
Potential side effects of Leptitox include:
- Stomach cramps
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Bloating
- Lethargy
There is no such thing as Leptin Resistance, and there is nothing in Leptitox capable of making you less "leptin resistant". So the potential benefits here are zero; in that case, any potential side effect risk is unacceptable!
Leptitox review conclusion: Is this a good weight loss supplement?
Is Leptitox a good weight loss supplement?
The answer is, unfortunately, a resonding "no".
Leptitox looks like an obvious scam to us. It contains useless ingredients that have no effect on hormone levels at all.
Leptin resistance appears to be a made-up condition. The makers of Leptitox have no medical expertise and no nutritional expertise; why they feel the need to create conditions out of thin air is beyond me, but I suspect money is involved!
If you really want to lose weight, then it is worth looking at the best fat burners on sale right now. These are supplements made from properly tested, scientifically verified, 100% natural ingredients. No fillers. No harmful substances. No rip-off proprietary blends!
