But First: A Self Check-in
Since the semester started in September we’ve been in constant motion, often speeding up and rarely slowing down. Understandably, we can get tired and lose motivation. To avoid academic burnout and loss of motivation it is important to acknowledge that there are some things outside of your control, so you have a clear sense of where to focus your energy - on what you do have control over. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Take a moment to reflect on where you are and how far you’ve come this semester. What are you proud of yourself for?
Think of one of your favorite activities- schedule it in your calendar this week, and give yourself something to look forward to.
Do you have a mentor who inspires you? Reach out to them and ask to catch up.
Do you have a faith community you lean on for support? What’s one way you could reconnect with them this week?
Write down one reasonable goal you have for yourself this week. Share it with a friend and ask them to keep you accountable.
