December Delivery
A month filled with learning...and FUN!
Oh What Fun...
Washington is a fun place to be, but especially when SANTA is coming for breakfast! Don't forget that PTO will host breakfast with Santa on Friday December 16th at 8:00 a.m.! There will be no choir that morning so all can attend! Choir will be performing on Monday, December 12th at Paddock Springs during the school day as well as Saturday, December 17th with Suzie McEntire benefitting Toys for Tots! On December 21st, Edgewood band will come to Washington to perform for our students and staff.
Other fun this month included 5th grade travels to Chicago to the Challenger Center and 6th grade attended a play at the Wagon Wheel Theater! Our 6th grade orchestra members performed at the PAC and did an amazing job! This doesn't even include the fun multiple grades are having in the STEM lab with tons of learning and creating. With all the excitement, please continue to encourage respectful and responsible behavior. Families and schools that work well together create a more successful environment for our students!
Hornet Holiday Helpers
If you are interested in helping our Hornets have a happier holiday, please see Tiffany O'Malley. Thank you to so many who have volunteered to shop for others and those who have donated money to help! I am amazed by the giving hearts of our Hornet families! If you are in need of some holiday help, please also contact Tiffany so we can get you on our list.
Lost & Found
Our lost and found is pretty FULL! If your child is missing an item (or 2 or 3...) please come in to see if it is here before December 21st! After 12/21, we will donate these items to Goodwill.
Robotics team to STATE!
Good luck to our robotics team as they travel to the STATE competition today! We are fortunate to have these stand up individuals represent Washington STEM Academy!
Basketball action
Our basketball teams will travel to Lakeland Christian Academy this week. Girls will play first starting at 5:00! Hope to see you there before you go to TX Roadhouse to support our PTO!
Sound of Music
Not only did our 6th grade get to see the play, but TWO of our 5th grade students were IN the performance. What an amazing job they did! Washington is so proud to have students participating in this production!
